Silicones, Inc. GI-UFC Ultra-Fast Catalyst accelerates the work and cure time of compatible GI-Series RTV-2 silicone bases. It is intended for industrial mold-making applications when a faster turnaround is needed.
The manufacturer’s data shows that results vary with the amount used. In its published test with GI-1000 Base, concentrations from 5% to 15% produced work times from approximately 49 to 7 minutes and demold times from approximately 210 to 30 minutes. At 10%, the published result was approximately 13 minutes of work time and a 60-minute demold time.
