Rubber Mask Repair Kit

The Rubber Mask Repair Kit is a complete latex mask repair kit for patching holes, closing tears and reattaching straps on natural latex rubber masks. Developed by Dr. Puppetstein and made by Motion Picture FX, it uses Monster Patch DNA paste and a pressure-sensitive contact adhesive that both stay flexible, so repairs bend with the mask instead of splitting. It also works on foam and fabric.

What’s in the kit

• 2 oz Monster Patch DNA paste
• 2 oz Monster Patch contact adhesive
• 12cc curved-tip syringe
• Power netting for reinforcement
• Tongue depressors, cotton-tip applicators and disposable chip brushes

What you can fix

Patch holes and tears, attach or repair elastic straps, add texture and raised veins, back the eyes, mouth and neck with power netting, and glue foam inside a mask for a better fit.

How the adhesive works

Coat both surfaces, let the adhesive dry, then bring them together. Light pressure lets you reposition; firm pressure sets the final bond. Use the syringe to place paste into small holes and cracks.
