NIGHT SHADES Rubber Mask Paint

Night Shades Rubber Mask Paint is a flexible, water-based paint for natural latex masks and props, developed by Motion Picture FX with Justin Mabry of Mabry Monsters and Trick or Treat Studios. It bends with the latex instead of cracking, so painted masks hold up to being worn, folded and stored. It comes ready to use and is airbrush-friendly.

Colors and sizes

Choose from 25 colors, from Fright White and Black Sabbath to flesh tones in light, medium and dark (Creeping Flesh and Zombie Flesh), gore reds like Redrum and Skinned, and Black Illustration Color for detail work. Sizes run from 2 oz to 5 gallons. Sizes of 16 oz and larger are made fresh and may need a 2–5 day lead time, depending on stock.

How to use

Paint onto clean, fully cured latex. Brush it straight from the bottle, or thin it with purified water for airbrushing. Build color in thin layers and let each dry before the next.
